A very rare Vintage Curly Ty Beanie Baby in new condition with rare tag errors. The swing tag reads “1996” while the tush tag reads 1993. Nose and black eyes. There is an error in the poem with an extra space between “To” and this. ” The swing tag reads: “To this Bear. The letter’Y’ is not capitalized on the second line of the poem. This bear has been kept in a smoke-free and pet-free home and in a plastic container with an additional swing tag protector. I bought Curly from a registered Ty dealer upon the bear’s release. RARE 1st Edition TY Beanie Baby Original Princess Diana Bear handmade in China from 1997. NEVER Displayed or Played with. To be an original 1st Edition the bear needs to have the following specifics. Hang tag text on right needs NO line space between “will be donated to the ” and “DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES” lines. Left side of tag will say “Handmade in China”. Tush tag should state that it is HANDMADE IN CHINA and P. Pellets on the backside. Front side has a star to the top left of the signature TY heart. Pellets were only used for a short time and then PE Pellets became the norm. That is what makes this beanie baby so RARE!! Also, there is NO stamp on the inside loop (those are mass produced beanies made after the first several editions/versions). Flower should have a well defined white rose with a green stem. Some stems tend to be more white in color. This is an extremely limited edition run! Please check with TY and verify! CHINA was the first to make these bears and they used the P.
