It has been kept in a sealed container inside my smoke free home. The beanie baby has only been out of the box once for pictures and has been handled with extreme care. Please look closely at all photos for item condition. You will receive the exact item photographed. Bear comes in a protective clear case with swing tag protector. 1997 1st Edition Ty Beanie Baby “Princess” – AKA Princess Diana. There is NO space in the swing tag sentences. Tush Tag has the Red Star Ty Logo. Tush tag has NO Number inside. Polyester Fiber and P. There is pale yellow stitching inside the rose. I bought Princess in memory of my best friend who lost her battle with cancer around the same time Princess Diana died. I have hung on to it over the decades because of sentimental value. Now our babies are grown & I have college tuition & bills to pay. There’s a ton of information available regarding the Princess beanie baby. The only documented evidence of a 1st edition/version that is available specifically refers to the swing tag and country of manufacture. There is no documented evidence as to which tush tag came first, specifically p. Thus which came 1st is only a matter of opinion. It has the 1st edition/version swing tag. It has the P. Tush tag, which cannot be proved or disproved as 1st edition. From the Ty Collector Website: In reference to the swing tag: Princess swing tags are often referred to by collectors as “space” or “no-space”. This is a reference to the last 4 lines of text on the right inside of the swing tag. The “no-space” swing tag was attached to Princess bears produced in China during the first production period and also for some of the production in Indonesia. A “first edition” Princess MUST have the “no-space” swing tag attached. Thus, a “first version” of Princess swing tag does NOT have a line space above “DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES”. Additionally, the left side of the tag states “Handmade in China”. This is refered to as ST #1. In reference to the tush tag: The tush tag of a Princess with the “no-space” swing tag can show it is made from either P. Thus far, it has not been credibly “proven” which version of the tush tag was actually attached to the first run of Princess bears produced in a Chinese factory.
